The Writing of the Puritans

Category Announcements
Date September 28, 2018

In the video below, Pastor Mark Johnston details why the writings of the Puritans are so impactful even today.

‘Part of the genius of Puritan literature is that they were so taken up with God, and his grace, and the provision that was made for sinners through the Lord Jesus Christ, that they opened not just their generation’s eyes but successive generations eyes to see how great the gospel is…’

By God’s grace we have been privileged to publish a number of excellent, classic Puritan works. The Banner’s Puritan Paperback series has grown into 54 volumes over the years, and we think it is the best series to begin with if you want to read the best of Puritan literature. Among the 54 volumes, the following five books would be a good place to start reading:

Bruised Reed
All Things for Good
Communion with God
Mortification of Sin
Rare Jewel of Christian Contentment
