Dr Herbert J. Pollitt was born in Lancashire, England and graduated from Porterhouse, Cambridge. He spent a teaching career in schools and colleges of education. On retiring to Worcestershire, he attended a Baptist Church and enjoyed water-colour painting. His book, The Inter-Faith Movement: The New Age Enters the Church was published by the Trust in 1996.
