Adam Swift –
This book is worth every penny just for the abundance of application points Plumer provides at the end of each Psalm! For preachers, this is a must-have for expositing the Psalms. He pulls out application I would never have thought of from my own reading of the text.
Martha Hauser –
Within the collection of Reformer commentaries, each being a treasure, Dickson’s Psalms is one that exemplifies what commentary is about. Morning portions of Scripture read daily and expounded with understanding and yet such love of the Lord, that they reach both heart and mind. Just as God restores the whole person, the commentary addresses this within the written text. You cannot walk away without being under the Scripture and have learned from it. It is not one you can read quickly and absorb that level of teaching, because meditation results naturally from the portions read and his commentary. It is in KJV, so the language is beautiful as well.
