Endorsements
‘This for the Puritan period is THE work upon Judges. It is thoroughly plain and eminently practical.’ — C. H. SPURGEON
Book Description
Richard Rogers was a ‘Preacher of God’s Word’ in the village of Wethersfield and his folio on Judges was one of the richest fruits of these labours. This is a facsimile reprint of the original 1615 edition.
Rogers’ work on Judges should never have been allowed to become a treasure in rare-book libraries. Unaccountably in all the Puritan reprints of the last centruy this work was missed by publishers. It is an eminent example of how the lesser-known books of the Old Testament can be made contemporary and powerful by true preaching.
